Stay-type comparison

Villa vs apartment

The same budget buys very different holidays depending on how many people are splitting it and how much of your trip happens at the property.

Quick answer

Should you rent a villa or an apartment in Argentina?

Rent an apartment for city stays of one to four people, where you'll be out most of the day and location matters more than square metres. Rent a villa from about six travelers upward, or whenever the pool, garden and kitchen are part of the holiday rather than a base for it.

Choose Luxury Villas if…

  • Two or more families or couples are traveling together
  • You want to eat, swim and celebrate at the property
  • The location is rural and you're already renting a car

Choose City Apartments if…

  • You're one or two people on a city trip
  • You want to walk out the door into restaurants and transit
  • You're staying a month and want long-stay pricing

Our verdict

Do the arithmetic per person, not per night. Villas look expensive and often aren't once six people split them; apartments are unbeatable value below four and put you inside the neighborhood you came to see.
